Who we are
It is an initiative of the Graduate Program in Business Administration (PPGA) and the Business School of Mackenzie Presbyterian University, in São Paulo, Brazil.
The project is part of the Mackenzie AI + Strategy Lab.
Why
Science communication. A thesis takes years to write and is usually read by only a few people. Here, each study becomes a presentation you can understand in a few minutes.
The goal is to connect our research findings with practice: managers, companies and industry, public agencies, students, the press and society at large.
The presentations also serve as case studies in the classroom, in undergraduate and MBA courses: each one brings a real problem, the data and what they mean for organizations.
How it is made
The project uses artificial intelligence to automate the creation of interactive executive summaries from the full text of theses and dissertations: reading, selecting the main findings, translating them into plain language and building the visualizations. The English versions are translated the same way.
Each presentation shows where the numbers come from and makes clear what is our interpretation and what is a claim made by the research.
The original text is the reference
The presentations simplify. The theoretical framework, the detailed methods and all the discussions are in the full text, which should be consulted and cited in academic work. Most full texts are in Portuguese. When available, there is a link to it at the end of each presentation.
Found a mistake?
Because the process is automated, the presentations may contain errors or inaccuracies. If you notice a problem or a mistake, or have a suggestion or criticism, get in touch through the lab’s contact page.
